9 Squares

A tribute to the Tumblr page of the same name. The brief called for a short motion piece built on a 3×3 grid, with each square interpreting a different word. I approached it through typography alone, treating type as a responsive element that moves with the music. Across the nine squares, letters grow and shrink, shift position, break apart, and open up space in response to the rhythm.
