Cinema South International Film Festival 2025

[Branding & Visual Identity][2025]

A row of festival posters printed in black on blue, green, yellow, orange, white and lime paper

Cinema South is an international annual film festival in Sderot, on the edge of Israel’s southern periphery – geographically and culturally. The identity I created draws from that position: simple, unpolished, unapologetic, and grounded. Printed materials were produced in black and white directly on colored paper, allowing the design to live on the raw surface while keeping costs low and the aesthetic restrained. The 16:9 cinematic frame became a repeated visual motif, anchoring the system in film and adapting easily across formats. This project examines what it means to design from and for the margins.
